EPA Spanish Label Requirement

EPA now requires key portions of pesticide and antimicrobial labels to be available in Spanish. This requirement can be met with a QR code printed on the label that directs consumers to a translated label or Safety Data Sheet (SDS). What changed

Bilingual labeling is required for all EPA registered end-use pesticide products

The health and safety portions of your label — first aid, precautionary statements, storage and disposal — must now be available in Spanish. Printing the translation on the physical label is impractical for many products. A QR code that links to a Spanish tranlate label or SDS is an accepted alternative, and SRC can help.

How it works

Three steps. You print the code and you’re done.

  1. Send us the document. Or, ask us to create it.

    Give us your Spanish SDS or label translation. If you need help creating the Spanish translation, our regulatory team can handle that too.

  2. We host it and issue the code

    SRC publishes the document to a permanent, non-guessable address and returns a print-ready QR code image plus the URL it resolves to.

  3. Print it. Revise it anytime.

    Drop the code onto your label artwork. When the document is revised, we replace it behind the same code — every label already in the market keeps working.
